THIRD ANNUAL “YOUNG MILWAUKEE HOLIDAY GALA” SET FOR DECEMBER 14 AT THE MILWAUKEE ATHLETIC CLUB SPONSORED BY SOMMER'S AUTOMOTIVE

Hosted by Young Milwaukee Charitable Organization, Inc., Event Raises Money and Collects Toys to Benefit The Zilber Neighborhood Initiative

MILWAUKEE – On Friday, December 14, at the Milwaukee Athletic Club, 758 North Broadway, the Young Milwaukee Charitable Organization, Inc. will host the Third Annual “Young Milwaukee Holiday Gala” benefitting the Zilber Neighborhood Initiative.

An evening of music and holiday fun will benefit children in the Lindsay Heights and Clarke Square neighborhoods through toy donations.  Journey House (1900 W. Washington St.) and Walnut Way Conservation Corp. (2240 N. 17th St.) will distribute toys donated by party attendees to children this Christmas.

The evening kicks off at 7 p.m. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be provided.  Guests are encouraged to dress up for an evening of fun and celebration.

Tickets are available now at www.youngmilwaukee.org and are $20 before November 30 and $30 after November 30.  Guests to the party are also asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the event that will be donated to the Journey House and Walnut Way Conservation Corp.

Last year, the event collected over 900 toys and raised $6,000 as over 500 of Milwaukee’s young professionals braved a snowy night for some holiday fun.  This year Young Milwaukee will look to collect over 1,000 toys and raise $7,500 for the Zilber Neighborhood Initiative.

The Young Milwaukee Charitable Organization, Inc. was formed in 2010 by a group of young professional Milwaukeeans and strives to connect young professionals with charitable causes in the Milwaukee area by hosting events and offering volunteer opportunities.  For more information, please visit their website, www.youngmilwaukee.org and check them out on Twitter (@YoungMKE) and on Facebook, www.facebook.com/youngmilwaukee.
